The Brecon is a plain fronted leather chukka boot. The chukka style is named for its resemblance to traditional polo boots (each period of play in polo is called a ‘chukker’). The Brecon features a slim, round toe, but is given additional heft courtesy of its storm welt and Dainite rubber sole. These features make it dressy enough to wear out to dinner, but perfect for walking all day in all weathers and terrains. Crafted on Crockett & Jones’ 341 last, it is made using a beautiful dark brown grained leather, which adds to its handsome, rustic appearance. The open lacing of the boot also makes the Tetbury a handy option for those with a high instep. Founded in Northampton in 1879, Crockett & Jones a fifth generation family-owned company. Representing the finest in materials and workmanship, Crockett & Jones’ Goodyear welted shoes are 100% made in England.
