The Islay is a nine-eyelet full-brogue country boot. Named for the hebridean island of Islay (pronounced ‘eye-la’), it is a handsome, rugged boot, storm welted to withstand even the roughest weather. Its Dainite rubber sole and scotch grain calf leather make it hard wearing, while its wingtip design and bold brogueing offset its naturally rustic appearance. The Islay is crafted on Crockett & Jones’ 365 last, which features the round toe and soft curves typical of a durable country shoe. The open lacing of the boot also makes the Islay a handy option for those with a high instep.
Founded in Northampton in 1879, Crockett & Jones a fifth generation family-owned company. Representing the finest in materials and workmanship, Crockett & Jones’ Goodyear welted shoes are 100% made in England.
