The term ‘wholecut’ means that the Alex is made from a single piece of leather, which has been expertly stretched around the last; it is a process that requires both strength and craftsmanship. The wholecut style lends itself beautifully to a square toe shape and the Alex is crafted on Crockett & Jones’ slimmest, most squared off last, known as the 348.
