The Alex is a sleek, formal wholecut oxford. It is the ideal shoe for black tie events as well as at any formal function. The term ‘wholecut’ means that the Alex is made from a single piece of leather, which has been expertly stretched around the last; it is a process that requires both strength and craftsmanship. The wholecut style lends itself beautifully to a square toe shape and the Alex is crafted on Crockett & Jones’s slimmest, most squared off last, known as the 348. It is a stunning shoe, one that the truly well-dressed man can hardly live without.
