Monk FactsThe Beaulieu is a 5 eyelet austerity brogue oxford. The austerity brogue has the same seam design as a standard wingtip brogue, but rather than having punched brogueing it has simple stitched seams. With the smooth curves created by its decorative stitching, the Beaulieu is eyecatching, but not as extravagant as a full-brogue. Crafted on Edward Green’s 82 last, designed by master shoemaker Tony Gaziano, the Asquith has a slim, tapered round toe. Its bevelled waist and sleek, sculpted form make it a beautiful shoe for all occasions . Established in a small Northampton factory in 1890, Edward Green has gained a deserved reputation for ‘making the finest shoes in Englad for the discerning few’. Edward Green’s shoes are made with the finest calfskin to the highest standards of workmanship. Each pair takes several weeks to create and many master craftsmen are involved.
