With so many classic styles, it is hard to designate the definitive Alden model, but if we absolutely had to it would be the longwing blucher. This shoe is so much a part of US shoemaking that the concept of American style would be incomplete without it. This particular model, made with genuine Horween Color 8 Cordovan, is the classic version of the shoe. Built on the roomy Barrie last, this is a bulky yet elegant style: the Cadillac of the shoe world. It is meant to be a workhorse of a shoe, yet the unique longwing design makes it dressy enough to wear to a wedding. Featuring a double leather sole and water resistant welt design, it is also great in all weather.
